About LifePointe Christian Academy
Our goal is to provide a safe loving environment where children can grow in God’s love, and an atmosphere where their emotional, spiritual, intellectual and physical needs will be met. Our curriculum will stimulate creativity and encourage children to express their personal ideas. We will help children become independent, self-confident, and inquisitive learners. We will have a wide variety of materials available that will be targeted to young children’s interest and the learning theme of the month. Every child learns differently, so we will take the time to get to know each child’s personality in order to better understand how to help them love to learn. Each month will be pre-planned for parents to review. We think it is important for families to know what their child is learning at school so that they can continue it at home as well as discuss it in conversation.
Our classrooms will be set up in age appropriate lifestyle centers, where children can explore their surroundings through imagination and experimentation. These centers will include dramatic play, language exploration, science/discovery, math/manipulatives, block/building and art.
The arrangement will be designed to encourage involvement in activities and will be large enough for adults to interact among children. The classroom arrangement and placement of materials will make it easy to identify different activity areas and to move from one area to another. Outdoor space and equipment will allow activities such as climbing, riding, balancing, digging, and sand play as well as individual play. The classroom and equipment will be kept clean and sanitized.
At LCA, we feel a strong relationship between our staff and our families is paramount to the success of the LCA. We will encourage parental participation through volunteering time, talent, supplies, and finances. We understand that your child’s education begins at home and recognize parents as the primary educators. We seek to strengthen that solid educational foundation with family conferences, professional materials, communication and prayer.
